The List!

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
2. Stay Focused. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!

During one of my many sleepless nights I’ve had due to the almost untakable situation at work, I’ve come across this wonderful thing of 101 things in 1001 days. I think it might be a pretty cool way to spice up my life and also to do things I’ve often thought about but either never dared to actually do or never „found“ time for. 🙂

I’ve spent several days thinking about my list of 101 things and many things have already come up, but I haven’t yet set down to categorize everything and complete the list. Will work on that after this post is finished I guess. I created this blog as a way to keep up with my 101 things and see if I can actually complete them all in 1001 days. 🙂 Plus I think it might be a nice way to re-experience some of the things along this adventure. 🙂

On to another subject, tomorrow I gotta go back to work. I really don’t feel like it. I’m kinda afraid and scared of how they will treat me and act around me and if my boss will say anything more than what he already said before the holidays. I just want the situation to get better, either that or find me a new job. It’s so heavy on my chest to feel mobbed and disliked, you can’t imagine. I really, really hope all can get worked out. *sighs*

Well, I’ll go and work on my list now before I gotta get a shower in and prepare supper.
